what's wrong with these girls?

one of a pretty girl that I know, with husband in the same university, bribed the professor in the department and even had fair with him, just for some benifits. She don't care about what others think and say at all and quite proud of herself. She might get good job later because of her lover's recommendation.

Will this kind of thing happen in American company? I know it's normal in China.

Am I the old hat?
