Starting date problem

If the company requires to get start before the date when my EAD is effective, say, my EAD is not valid until mid October but the job needs to start no later than the end of August. Is there any way to get around this problem?

My situation: I already got my EAD (but not effective yet) and was approved for graduation, so I don't think there's anyway to get a CPT. The company is a huge international company and I'm not sure if they would let me volunteer working for one and a half months.

我的公司的政策让你先干，然后等到你拿到许可证了把工资补给你。
我觉得大多数大公司都应该这样吧，不会计较这么点钱的。

I don't some companies willing to do that. But as this is a huge international company, I guess their policy might be too strict to allow illegal work. Anyway, I'll wait and see what will happen.

Is it possible to change the opt starting date after it is already issued?

That will take some time and might not worthy of it. And you don't want any mess up if you plan for a Green Card in the future.
