if you haven't got ead on hand, even it's approved and it's already after the start date on your form, you still can't work. You have to wait till u get the card.

However, if your start date is in the future and you've got the card, u have to wait till start date to work.

The key is to fill in your start date based on current process time, make sure u don't waste OPT days.
