找教授作reference的问题--请帮忙解答

需要找几年前的教授作reference, 因为时间上比较急，现在又是暑假期间，几乎不可能当面找他们谈了，那么写封email请他们做reference可不可以？我有点担心这样会显得很不礼貌把教授得罪了，check的时候不给我说好话，如果非要亲自去一趟，见面说什么呢，要不要带点小礼物；还有就是他们可能根本记不得我，那我在email里是不是要简要叙述一下我是谁，上过您的课，成绩不错，啥啥的。

already summer vacation?

email is fine, but yes u wanna state when did u take their classes etc

email will be fine. but you want to make sure they know who you are.
it's better to find someone who knows you well enough to write you a
good letter of reference.

Then I will just email them and try to remind them who I am.

I can hardly find anyone that knows me well enough as said by the mm upstairs, because I only took some courses from them and did not have any further contacts.
