LP（L1)和我(L2)去年10月来美，LP在一美国分公司做工程师，公司帮我们办绿卡，并且进行的比较顺利，今年一月申请到上星期收到了fingerprint通知。可没想到，LP的公司突然宣布从 全局考虑将在3个月内关闭我们所在城市的分公司。
问:从fingerprint到拿到绿卡大概还需要多长时间？

公司没有给你们一份140 notice的copy吗? 不过我觉得应该是concurrent file的,所以140的时间应该就在485的左右.
140 is filed at the same time with 485.
as ur 485 file notice is apr., it would be great if ur wife's office last till oct. but even not, some companies don't report layoffs when employees are at final stage of immigration process. maybe ur wife can neogtiate with the company.
fingerprint和什么时候拿绿卡没有直接联系。
一般递交485之后六个月内来fingerprint notice都是正常的。
fingerprint15个月有效期，过了有效期，需要重新作。如果fingerprint不清楚，还是要重新做。
而485的approval 和fingerprint什么时候做是没有直接联系的
一般来说,I-140必须在I-485之前交，当然可以concurrent filing。所以I-140的日期会在I-485之前。你们作为申请人应该有receipt notice。

has your 140 been approved? I guess you don't know ah... If you apply for EAD card on pending 485 which is concurrently filed with 140, you might risk your status if your 140 is not approved... It is really a complicated situation that you and your LP are in... Why not spend some money to consult an attorney first. Sometimes they even have certain free services.
The rule of AC 21 allows the applicant to change his job after I-140 is approved and 180 days after 485 filing. If you just filed 140/485 concurrently,the rule does not apply to your case.
One way is to negotiate with the company to continue sponsor your GC application. You'd better consult a lawyer ASAP.
