I just got an offer. The base salary is the minimum of the standard salary range that I found from the website. So I want to negotiate the base salary to th
e median or the high end. Do you think that the negotiation will risk my job o
ffer? It's a small(~ 40 people) start-up company. Thanks a lot!

if you don't nigotiate, they'll assume you're cheap... They're waiting for you.
should be fine
just be professional
Thanks for the reply. I am really confused. Knock'em dead says that everthing is negotiable and an employer is more inclined to respect a person who has a clear understanding oh his/her worth. But lots of websites, especially the career services for university students, says that you are risking your job offer at the same time. Anyone has experience?
negotiation doesn't risk your job offer, only negotiation with unrealistic expection might hurt u. so, think it through about what you wanna ask, and support ur term with evidence.
good luck.
关键是要做得professional.
