i signed the docu for 5k deductable when i was in school last Nov.
I started my job at the end of May using my OPT.
Do I still enjoy the 5K deductable for the pay I got in the company?

I understand during OPT we dont have to pay medicare and social security.
But I am talking about the 5K between china gov and US gov. Is it
only for school ? cz when I mention this to my HR. She has no idea
of this and she thought it must be sth specific for school.

Yes, you can have the 5k treaty benifit as long as you are F1. You may not have it deducted from your paycheck directly, but you can claim that during next year's tax return.
