在大学工作，办绿卡很难吗？

今年找工作，本来还想找大学里的faculty职位，因为以前听人说，大学里工作办绿卡好办。可是最近听到老婆的一个同学讲，她8月份开始工作，faculty职位，学校直到现在也不给他递h1申请，说是现在太早了，对于绿卡，学校说我们是不办lc/perm的，你可以自己找律师办，我们就不管了。所以现在很困惑了，是最近刚发生的变化， 还是一直就不太容易。还是说对人区别对待，给某些人办，不给某些人办。还有就我的感觉，办绿卡，不论是不是自己找律师做，有很多环节，比如lc是离不开你的雇主（学校的），对不对？
i think it depends on school or company's policy. there is nothing we can tell.
my ld's school helped him get labor certificate, and he prepared I-140 and I485 by himself. We got GC in one and half year.
But I was told that our school does not support GC application for other position besides faculty. So I guess if position is on research track, you probally have to apply for GC through NIW, etc.
我觉得很大程度上取决于不同学校的不同规定. 我们学校就是即使是自己掏钱也必须找学校指定的律师办.
在perm之前, 通过学校申请的LC有一个special handling process,比外面公司是要快一点.perm以后就取消了, 具体怎么样还没有看出苗头.
