Please help me decide this.
my car's "check engine" light is on. after checking, the garage guy said it is because of canister and valves. They said I need to change them, totally ~$500 (including labor fee). SHould I do it there or I can buy canister and valves and take them to small garage to fix it to save some money?
我的车发生同样的问题，是去年12月分换的，但只是valves, and i was told it is related to emission ( i have no clue), it cost me $168 only. I did it at my toyota dealer.
I would suggest you take your car to other place and checked it out. it seems high to me. As long as engine light is yellow not red, you are fine for now.
by the way, my engine light has been on and off for almost a year until last december i decided to have it fixed
