I don't know the difference between these two. But even for gortex, you don't have to pay full price ah. You can get good gortex deals online that are cheaper than ems. ems in my expression is quite expensive. besides, do they have rating on weight/thickness of these two?

you mean the feel by hand?
the weight is roughly the same...(well, there are heavier goretex jackets at $55 too...but ligher ones, paclite, is $90)

i cant tell by naked eyes...
