i feel the ending of The Da Vince Code is a little bit weak too.

i'd recommend "the dante club", a similar suspense novel with a historical background of US' first attempt to translate dante into english. it is a much much better written and plotted book than the da vinci code, with much more visual and grotesque murder descriptions as well if you have the appetite for it...

i strongly recommend da vinci code too!

i listened to the book on my way to and from work, and i found myself at times oblivious to the bad traffic at all...

otherwise, read "And then there were none" by Agatha Christie or any John Grisham's book.

Da Vinci Code is definitely a good book.

I also recommend another book from the same author "Angels & Demons" which has a very similar story line as "Code". Another exciting experience for me!

I agree that Da Vinci Code is a shallow book, more hype than substance.

For an extremely easy read, try Mary Higgnins Clark's work. She writes like
a grandma, a 10-year-old can read her books easily. But she is a bit predictable
and verbose.
