DC area is good. I have been there for three year and now moved to midwest. A totally big village with horrible weather. I want to move back when I get my phD

hehe, midwest就是传说中的另外一个美国了，恐怕土生土长的东西海岸老美都不喜欢去。pretty slow, sit-back, and nothing exciting. The community life is relied on Church activities.

2: lots of big companies, GE, UBS Walburg, WWF. :)
3: It is right next to long island sound.
4: 四季分明。

不过房子不要太贵就做梦吧。。。

I think CA is still better than TX,
I just moved to North CA from Houston, the weather is much comfortable here.
Except winter is still a little cold and wet.

East area is definitely too cold for me.
I wish everyday to be 25 degree.
well, when I first come here, I also think things are expensive, then I found that vegetables and fruits are much cheaper than TX.
And then we get a costco card, in costo milk is cheap,$4.5 for two 1 Gallon milk.
Some people used to drink a gallon, use the other to wash face,:), eggs also cheap, in ranch 99 around $1-1.5/dz, similiar like TX, costo also cheaper.
Rice, $8.99 for Jin Mi or other Japan rice 25LBS in Ranch 99, I think not too bad ah.
In costoco 50lbs only $12.99 for Yellow GuoBao.$16 for Thailand Jasmine Rice .
We bought Jamine rice and JinMi (from Japan) to mix together to cook and it is pretty good.
Beef etc is more expensive than TX and sea food expensive too.
But here we can buy the live JiYu and tilapia,dunken crab and the frozen GuiYU and others, much more than in TX.
ANd you can fish crabs too, actually in TX the gulf of Mexico pollustion is quite heavy so the fish and crab may not be too clean.Though I eats lot when I was there,:)

Also the CHinese snacks are a lot here.
Houston is also good, except the weather, I like the July/Aug/Sept of CA better than TX or even ShangHai.

oh my god, where is it? tell me, so that i will never choose such a city to settle down!!!
