Title: Fruits of the Two Weeks in the Turn of 2005

In the two holiday weeks, neither vocation nor vacation was taken place in this typical F1s' family. Instead, Lots of practices were completed on holiday shopping things, learning English, doing exercises, browsing and discussing hot topics etc. The practices were mainly implemented by surfing on internet, watching TV, shopping local store, phoning , and thinking deeply and thoroughly.

The material fruits of the two weeks activities included: 1) an IBM laptop which was shipped on Jan 6^th, 2005, 10 days after placing the order, 2) normal clothing such as coats, shoes, and sweaters which have been worn by family members of LG or I, 3) cosmetics such as lip-gloss from www.dreamlips.com, a small order and three samples from www.keihls.com, two bottles of toner and facial washing, which are all on their delivering way, 4) house stuffs such as a high quality pan, a bunch of beautiful flower for holiday decoration, two bags cat food and several cat toys additional to weekly family food.

The total expenditure was over $ 2000 in this family, not including the portion of sending money and healthy products to parents in which is estimated to be at least the amount of the holiday expense.

The spiritual fruits include: 1) an exhaustively enjoying in pretty pictures/posts in boards of beauty, fashion, living, movie stars, photographers, and lost/straggle (Xinyouqianqianjie) from www.huaren.us, 2) a comprehensive understanding in dressing and skincare choosing, 3) a fully acceptance of the importance of sport to health, which has resulted a daily half-hour exercise in this family, 4) a deep thinking of living in U.S. and China for China-born people, originated from both the ladies’ discussion of life in those two countries in www.huaren.us and phoning friends in China, 5) a broad knowledge of major programs on U.S. TV after intensively indulging in them, which caused a great improving in listening English, 6) a strong feeling of the significance in calling parents weekly or more and talking with them whatever we could, as they were so great in enduring lonely and put their children at rest.

Some pictures were taken and have been uploaded in personal yahoo photo album, and sheared with several friends in both and here. And of course, lots of compliments were received which kept me in a high mood for many hours.

Although most of the buying of needed stuff for the winter season has been done, further studies should be performed on how to place order efficiently and economically in the near future. Moreover, knowledge obtained in this period should be converted into actions as soon as possible.
