I learned even if I hire a lawyer, I still need to do a lot of things myself. If a lawyer is just responsible to fill out my name, company, salary... I would rather do it myself and avoid their delay and mistakes. Thanks a lot.

In addition, he can help you polish the application materials (cover letter and recom. letters), organize the package, give you advice, and reply to RFE if there's any. Of course you can do all of these by yourself. If at any time you feel stuck, go for a good lawyer.
