As an engineer, I visited China a few months ago to attend a convention and I was astounded. They are already ahead of us in many key technologies and the gap is widening very quickly. We Westerners need to get our act together RIGHT NOW, because the Chinese are not slowing down, in fact they are accelerating ahead. If this continues within 5 years China will be soo far ahead we will not be able to compete.

After my trip, I finally realized why the media has to constantly lie to us about China. Because if they told us the truth, we''''d see how much tax money our government and their corporate masters are wasting without any real benefits to the people. The Chinese government collects much less in tax revenue from their citizens and businesses, yet have to support a population of 1.4 Billion people, and is still able to provide at least 5x more benefits to their citizens than ours. I became REALLY angry at the government and it''''s lobbyists after I went to China, and that''''s when it clicked for me; THAT''''S exactly why we are not allowed to be shown how well China is doing, it would foster way too much criticism and dislike for the ruling elites in the West. China''''s success is a major threat to our political establishment, and it doesn''''t matter what the Chinese do, their existence as a successful state will always be a threat our corrupt political systems.
