I used to have a pair of finches back in China. They were gonna be parents too.

However, the chicks never came out. I didn't know why....guess maybe the parents got frightened somehow and refused to hatch the eggs anymore. :(

They were with me for over a year but died mysteriously one day. I was very sad

if the chicks do not come out within 20 days, then take the eggs out, the female will lay more eggs.

They need to feel safe to hatch babies. So better leave them alone when they are hatching:)
