If you filed electronically, you may get the refund as fast as about a week.  It might take 4 to six weeks to get the refund if you file the paper copy.  The state where you reside should have a web page that you can check your refund status online.  And, of course, you can always give them a call.

In general, it should be gone faster than it is if you would have a refund.  Mine was gone in less than two weeks.
