短线TA说了算, 长线FA说了算.
现在从TA来看: 短线看涨
FA来看, 很糟糕, 不过倒没觉得会比1929年还差, 长线看熊1-2年.
还有如果选的股票是追求GROWTH的话, 记得股票看未来, 这就是为什么很多股票P/E很底, EARNING也不错, 但还猛跌(参见DRYS), 但有些股票P/E狂高, EARNING一般也狂涨(参见前一阵子的SOLAR SECTOR, 比如: FSLR, LDK)

the thing that worries me most is that 1month and 3month LIBOR remains horrifically high.
i think the bush admin. know this and are scared to death because they know that all this cash injected into the bank is not yet working. if nothing major happens in 2-3 weeks and this stagnation keeps going on, we can probably expect a long recession like that in japan, and with >10% unemployment. if we see deflation, everyone is going to be screwed.
i think it is still not too late to get your 401k out at this moment.

there have been many MF wiped out during 2001-2003 downturn.
MF wiped out 的话，会转到其它的MF的。401K 一般还会有几个公司的选择，所以相对比较安全些。要是这些MF公司全都关门就不知道了。

They gotta have some money market fund in your choices, change your investment into that/those fund(s)
