Doing tax myself or go for tax professionals

I bought a house with my boyfriend this year, but we are not paying tax togather. Also we had two loans, one is the main loan, another one is HELOC based on another property I own. Even though he is paying towards both loan, but I don't think he can get the any tax benefit from my HELOC loan. Also how can we both claim the tax benefit for the house we own? Is it better to get a tax accountant?

I live in seattle (bellevue) area, if you do know a good accountant, please let me know.

Thanks all

The house only gives tax benefits to the person on the bank loan. If you are 50-50 responsible as co-signers on the loan, you two split the tax benefits. Otherwise, if it is only your name on the loan, only you get the benefits.

Thanks for the information. I guess if that's all, I can still use online tax services then.
