what credit card company likes you to do, you try not to do it. the reason credit card company gives you money for money you spend, is they make money on it. unless you are a very displine type. you end up spending more.

that's a very good point.

I'm still confused how can you save money using cash instead of CC. Someone like to share the thoughts?

for most people, paying habit makes a big difference. when u just need to swipe a card, it is much easier to buy things you don't need. also you always think you don't need to pay till the end of the billing cycle right? However, when you do need to take cash from your wallet, and see your wallet is getting thinner, most people are unlikely to spend unnecessary money or at least not as much.
