今天收到一封信，IRS department of treasury 寄来的:
We are writing to you because you may qualify for the Earned Income Credit (EIC) .
什么意思呢？是不是低收入才有这个？因为lg 拿fellowship, 保税的时候只有我一个人的收入保税了。

I am not sure what the filing status you put in for your tax return. Please not that if you are a nonresident alien, you can claim the EIC only if you are married to a United States citizen or resident, and you file a joint return and are taxed as a resident for the entire taxable year.
