I don't think SF is said to be the place of high household income, but bay area or silicon valley instead. In fact there are quite a few in the list,Cupertino, Palo Alto, Milpitas, also, San Ramon and Pleasanton are about 30 miles away.

其实那2个城市的优势是房子便宜,而且现在越来越繁华了,发展趋势无量啊
其中一个城市,旁边就是我们这里的富城,几乎同样的房子,一条马路之隔,差不多能差到10多万
那个什么,貌似工资是直接进银行帐的啊,你到这里,我包你吃住哈

上面这些城市(镇)都是suburbs，人口最多的Clarktown, NJ, 也只不过只有
85,350。其他的population都在50,000 - 70,000之间。大的Metropolitan areas (LA, SF, NYC, Chicago, etc.) 贫富相差太大，low income population 多的话，median income 自然就上不去了。我的州只有一个城市榜上有名，其实跟我住的地方都是算是greater xxxx (市区大范围)，但是那里富人就是多，public schools 也都很好。得加油去那里买房子了 (assuming that we are not moving elsewhere in the country)。

看完后令我大吃一惊：那些传说中的城市如LA, 三藩市，纽约市，西雅图等等传统高收入的地区竟然榜上无名。反而我居住的一个中部小城市排名挺靠前的。这说明在那些传统大城市里面，有超过50%的人的收入较低，或者都是一个人工作赚10几20万，家里还有3到4个人或者更多人不工作的，把household的均值给拉低了。嗯，就酱紫。
