I am using TAXCUT  to prepare my 1040. For the income from stock, I inputted my 1099-B into taxcut with cost basis and proceeds, so the gain from stock should be proceeds-cost basis. The gain calculated by taxcut is much higher than the one calculated by myself manually. Why? Is it should be this way? Thank you very much!
