We bought a house last year. Our property tax is expensive than our neighbors' so we filled a property tax complain in our county. The county sent us a letter that we need to appeal in person in the county court.

We talked to our township assessor that she has lowered our property tax similar to our neighbors'. She said that the county won't lower it to the price we paid for because the county uses 2004-2006 houses sale prices not 2007 sale prices.

Have anyone appealed the property tax successfully? What should we bring to the county court?

Our real estate agent is not longer a realtor. Where can I get a comparable market analysis of homes recently sold?
