that's really depend on person's expense habbit. I hate to use cash because I never could remember how much I spent in cash but if using CC, I can always track what I bought.

use cash is a good idea, financial book advises people to control spending by using cash instead of CC.
the payment doesn't mean anything, the payments depend on the price and how much money you put down. we already payoff one car and the other one we put 50%.
定个目标呗。算算需要多少钱退休，什么时候付清房车贷款，孩子的养育，给父母的孝敬。
然后就知道每年/月需要存多少了。刨掉税，剩下的就是你能花的。一个月700，对于月光族来说，不算什么。对于想提前退休，送孩子上私立的人来讲也许就奢侈了点
