Emerging Market refers to the financial market or economy of a developing nation, countries such as China and Brazil. Investment in the emerging market could be very risky due to the volatile economic and political conditions.

So, emerging markets is just a subset of international market, right? of those developing ones, not those developed ones.

Here is the definition of the emerging market fund from Vanguard:

emerging markets fund:

A mutual fund that invests primarily in countries with developing economies (that is, those that are becoming industrialized). Emerging markets funds tend to be more volatile than domestic stock funds due to currency fluctuation and political instability. Consequently, fund prices can fluctuate dramatically.
