we just applied and been turn down by this mbna american express because our "permanent residence is not within our market area". Could anyone
tell us what the hell does that mean (we have excellent credit report score). And will this affect our credit?

is this because we did not got gc yet? I mean, our permanent residence should still be back in china? has anyone has similar problem? I mean, we got citiback card, american express card (blue) with no problem........

你当时选的是PR么？

BOA界定PR的标准是这样的：

In order to apply for an account online, we require: (a) A current physical U.S. residence address, and you have been in the US for at least one year (b) A social security number (must be a U.S. Citizen, or legal resident), and (c) That you must be 18 or older. As long as you meet the above criteria's and you have a state issued ID you can select the permanent resident with the green card option. "
