请问一下,这个ROTH怎么买?一定要用BROKER吗?大家有什么推荐的?commission fee 高吗?
我都工作两年了,还没买过。
You can open an account at your bank, or online by yourself, or through an agent.
Bank and agent require commission fee. I used to have an account at my bank, paid $35 yearly.
Then I openned a Roth IRA account at www.fidelity.com and transmitted all my Roth IRA money and funds to that account. No commission fee, no yearly fee, very convinient, and friendly and helpful customer service. No boker needed.
Once you have a Roth IRA account, you can deduct money monthly from your checking account to put into this Roth IRA account. You can use this money to purchase whatever you want, stock, fund, etc. My suggestion is to buy funds. If you want, you can use fidelity.com's research tool to browse different funds. I am lazy and don't want to shuffle the funds myself, so I bought the FFTHX fund, which is a combination of different funds, and aimed for maturity in the 2030's.
Depending on the funds you buy, you may or may not need to pay fee for the funds themselves, besides the yearly Roth IRA account maintenance fee. Of course, if you buy from fidelity, most of their funds are free of fee, and their account is free of charge.
太太太太感谢了!!!!!
这样听起来,roth使用税后收入买的,并不省税,买它有什么好处呢?

All the capital gain from your Roth IRA account will be tax free, once it matures.
Unlike Roth IRA, the traditional IRA is paid with money before tax, but in the end, you have to pay tax on the capital gain, once the IRA matures.
I also heard that you can withdraw some money from your Roth IRA without panelty. Haven't confirmed it myself though.

Roth is great. It makes a big difference over time.
If you put $4000 in it now, assuming 10% return, in 30 years, you'll have $69,798. Without the Roth tax savings on capital gain, assuming 15% tax rate (LT cap gain) and annual turnover, you'll have $46,233.
Now If you put $4000 in it every year, you'll have $660,000 in 30 years (same assumption as above). Without the Roth tax savings, you'll have $500,000.
Once your income is over a certain threshold, you won't be able to contribute to Roth any more. So enjoy while you can.
4000*(1.1)^30=69798? 不算不知道,一算吓一跳。 多谢多谢!!!
是不是每个人买¥4000top?不能买更多?
