I personally like Fidelity.  Stocks trading commission has 3 prices, $19.95, $10.95, or $8.  I currently qualify for the $10.95 commission level.  You have the option of buying mutual funds, but don't have to.  You can buy anything you want.

My parents like Scottrade, it's $7/trade.  However, you cannot buy foreign stocks through Scottrade, which I think is very limiting.

你是想aggressive的炒股吗？我觉得FD和VG这样的比较适合买卖MF。当然你也可以买卖股票。不过你就像专注在股票上的话，可以看看其他的broker。比如IB这样专门交易股票的。呵呵

如果你是说的是stock bond的话那就是另外一回事了！
