月维护费 counts every month once you don't have basic amount of money in your account.

if you have enough money that the bank asks for, then the fee can be waived.

again, you should confirm with your bank first, no one wants pay extra fee,

Yes. put it in this way.

If your card opens in april,2008, then you should contact your bank in march,2009.

Ask them to change your card into unsecured to wiave another upcoming annual fee.

Remember to tell them that you want to maintain the same card number.

If you don't keep the same card number, you will lose the prior one year's credit history.

  楼主和我差不多，我是3月底申请的，也是第一张卡。。。呵呵

当时不懂，其实还有其他行不用收年费的给新人用的信用卡，而且

据说BOA的SECURECARD未必都能转，有时要取消再申请正式卡，

可能会浪费了自己的信用史
