it s called 529....
you put some amount of money
under your name...
and you can put in some money
every month...
and the investment companies
you bought 529 from
will manage that money..
and hopefully, it grows in the long run...
and when you need to withdraw
that money for education purpose,
tax free....

it can either cover your kids,
or yourself...

but...if you plan to go to school
in the near future...it might not
be a good idea... cause the market
is not doing very well, and you only
expect better performance in long term..

another thing i forgot to mention...
if you bought 529,
when your kids, or yourself is going
to school and got scholarship,
you can withdraw the money without
any penalty, only paying the tax..
which is not a bad deal..
