那位高人说说，1040 算出来的fed tax是不是不包括social security tax 和medicara tax啊？好像只包括额外的unpaid social security tax 和medicara tax？
不包括，但是你如果ss交过了头，比如你这年中间跳槽了，两个公司都照着比例扣，最后总数过了上限，可以从联邦税里面退回来，medicare没有扣过头的问题，因为就是固定比例，没有上限
欠这俩的事情我没有听说过，用w2的，公司都会认真扣的
我一个同事说年薪超过一定数额, 比如$120,000, 就不用叫SSN TAX了, 是这样吗?
他这么说也是有根据的, 因为他姐姐以前是我们这的manager, 可能她就符合这个不用叫SSN TAX.

You still have to pay SS tax, no matter how much you make. However, there is a cap for the maximum that you can be taxed. I think the cap is $97,000/year. So if you make $197,000/year, you pay SS tax on the first $97,000, and you don't pay any additional SS tax on the $100,000.
