I am borrowing student loan, and my lender, Wachovia, charges me insurance and origination fee for $170 annually, which is like 2% of my loan. Is this reasonable? Do other banks also charge the same fee?
i dont think it is reasonable. it is too much. to my understanding, there is no fee for student loan. maybe you can try citi.

我不知道銀行的student loan 是不是private的....我只知道private student loan利息高的誇張,請不要輕易嘗試. 記得federal student loan會比較好,也比較還的起. 但我不確定international student 可不可以用federal student loan. mm問問銀行的人.
