请教saving account 的选择

原来一直把钱放在fnbo direct saving. 最近想转出来.要么存在citi ultimate ,要么存在hsbc. 请问大家,从安全性和方便方面考虑,是citi ultimate 好些呢还是hsbc 好些呢? 谢谢.

另外,citi ultimate online saving 和citi 的local bank 是互通的吗? 可以从local citi bank 去取online saving 的钱吗?

"是citi ultimate 好些呢还是hsbc 好些呢": it totally depends on how many local branch, and ATM they have at your city.

Not sure of the "ultimate online saving", but regular "online saving", you can withdraw money from it in local branch easily. Or, you online transfer the money to regular checking/saving, then go to the local branch to withdraw.

By the way, if I remember it, citi ultimate needs some minimal balance requirement, right? (most accounts require it though).

Oh, citi has 6 month 4% CD, not bad. Just note "CDs renew automatically at maturity for the same term at the rate in effect at the time. If you don't want to renew, you have a 7-day grace period to let us know online, by phone or in writing.". see their site.

I use HSBC online saving. I think they are the same.

I do not think you can withdraw from local branch, but you can do online transfer to your checking account

The problem with Citi Ultimate saving is that they changed their rate after u opened the acct. My ultimate saving rate is now about 2.67% not as advertised of 3.5%.

I just opened a HSBC on line savings with a rate higher than citi.
