请教明年401k和4001k怎么放——刚工作，完全不懂

现在这个形势怎么放呢？我刚有这个，今年新的H1B，还完全没概念。
假设那个%是工资头10%公司match 50%吧。那我是不是填10%，401k就填我每次payroll的10%数目比较合适？还是看现在这经济，decline一分钱都不放算了？
Usually the company matching part have a limit. Say it is 4% of your saraly for the company limit. and they matching 50% of what you put in, then you should put at least 8% to get 4% of maximum from your company. This way you get 12% on your 4001K and you only have to put in 8%. However, it is really personel choice. total up to you.

多谢。我猜想大概是这样。那现在401是不是都放定期呀？好似部分股票啥的，还有定期可以选？
问你们公司的HR，或者同事。一般都有好几个选择，有mutual fund, market market, bond之类。我觉得现在更应该放，401k是dollar cost average，现在相当于低买，能放多尽量放多。
by the way, 4001k是第一次听说。是不是roth 401k?

我们推荐没有用，一般每个公司都自己有几个让你选择，你要看公司提供什么，才能选什么
