Sorry cannot type in Chinese as I am at school.
I redeem 2 air tickets last year using Thankyou points and received a 1099Form for misc income about $750.
As I recall, those cash rebates from Chase are not taxble but Thankyou points are an exception.
My point is that, if you take into account of the tax effects, then the benefits from thankyou points are shrinking even more.

前年我在HRblock报税，问过cash back, 他们的说法是那是你先花钱拿到的，不用报税。那时候我们还不是resident。
我的有些rebates是要上税的，但是这个never heard of it。多谢lz posted it

我前年用thankyou换过机票，没收到任何东西。去年也换了机票，到目前没收到1099
