俗话说“practice makes perfect”，“熟练”是与人会话的前提，只有熟练，在会话时才能流利。熟练的标准就是要达到blurt out just what you think。而英语口语要做到熟练，有两大步骤不能忽视：一是要学会imitation，二就是要学会repeat，下面我们就这两个步骤和大家共同探讨提高英语口语的对策。

Four main points of weighing oral English standard:

1.Whether pronunciation and tone are right；

2.Fluency level；

3.Whether grammar is right，wording is suitable and in accord with idiomatic expressions；

4.Whether content is substantial and logic is clear。

这些是衡量会话能力的主要标准。针对以上标准，我们可以采取相应的训练方法：

◆Principles of imitation.

一要imitate loudly.模仿时要大大方方，清清楚楚，口形要到位，不能扭扭捏捏，小声小气地在嗓眼里嘟嚷。

二要correct the words and phrases that you can’t speak accurately at any time.

三要insist. Generally speaking ，it takes you a long time to learn pure pronunciation and tone.时间的长短 depend on learner’s level of concentration.

◆Standard of imitation.

模仿要达到什么程度才算好呢？简单地说就是要“像”，如果能够达到“是”就更好了。

◆Methods of imitation.

第一步，imitate pronunciation.模仿时口形要正确，刚开始模仿时，速度不要过快，用慢速模仿，以便把音发到位，待把音发准了以后，再加快速度。对于自己读不准或较生疏的单词要反复多听几遍，然后再反复模仿，在那些常用词上下功夫，尽量模仿得像一些。

第二步，imitate how to read phrases .If you can pronounce accurately, it is easier for you to read phrases. Lay heavy stress on practice and fluency.要多练一下连读、同化等语音技巧。

第三步，imitate paragraph and chapter. Put emphasis on fluent level. You can follow with a recorder，“he” says and you imitate. The purpose is improving reaction velocity of buccal muscle，making muscle in step with brain。

模仿练习时要注意一个问题，就是害羞心理,讲话时易小声小气，这对学习英语语音语调很不利，要注意克服。另一方面是inferiority complex. They always think that their own English is not good and dare not speak English with others, especially when they talk with people whose English is better than theirs. If you want to learn spoken English well, you must overcome this mental block.

◆Method of repeat.

学英语离不开记忆，记忆不是死记硬背，要有灵活性,复述就是一种很好的学习英语的方法。

There are two common ways of repeat. One is after read, you repeat; the other is after you listen to the tape, repeat. I think the later way is better, because it can improve listening as well as speaking ability. At the same time，it can concentrate your attention and improve you memory power.

◆Principles of repeat.

要循序渐进，可由一两句开始，听完后用自己的话把所听到的内容说出来，一遍复述不下来，可多听几遍，越练遗忘就越少。在保证语言正确的前提下，复述可有越来越大的灵活性，如改变句子结构，删去一些不大有用或过难的东西，甚至仅复述内容概要。
