distinguish those words

I can not distinguish among those english words:

1,fun, fine, fan

2, bike, back

3, cat, kite

4, few, fuel

5, girl, goal, go

6, word, world

7, work, walk

8, pet, pat

9, keys, kiss

10, hit, heat, hate

11, leave, live

and everyword with a r or l in the middle or at the end, such as car, heart, etc.

Anybody has similar experience, and can we discuss how we can correct them? I was thinking of voice coach, but they are way expensive, about $100 per class (1 hour).

I paid attention to pronounciate r or l and I can share with you my experience. However, I do not know how to do that on Internet.

I do not have much problem with r. My problem was with l . If the pronunciation of l can be described as "ei o", I did not emphasize enough on the second part of it o. I realized I have to give it a strong finish on "o".

If you have the book "well said", on its page 179, there is paragraph with a picture telling you how to pronounce l and r.
