Amy works as an auditor for a large major CPA firm. During the months of September thru and November of each year, she is permanently assigned to the team auditing Garnet Corporation. As a result,every day she drives from her home to Garnet and returns home after work. Mileage is as follows:
Home to office 10miles
Home to Garnet 30 miles
Office to Garnet 35 miles
For these three month, Amy's deductible mileage for each workday is:
a. 0.
b. 30.
c. 35.
d. 60.
e. None of above.

谢谢楼上的回复。可是书上又有这么一句："the commuting costs from home to a temporary wok station and from the temporary work station to home are deductible." So, I am confused...
Let me try try:
Home to Client: 30 miles
Home to Office (None deductible): 10 miles
Deductible = 30-10 = 20 X 2 = 40 miles per day.
So your answer "d" is correct.

Here is how I get it:
round trip from home to Garnet, so it is 30*2=60.
I am not sure whether it is correct or not.

Sorry, I meant "e. none of above" but I typed "d". This is how I always reimburse my mileage.
