You can still do research/study during pregancy, no need to stay at home for a year. When you give birth, you'll need to stay at home for at least a month, maybe your parents can come? Or you LG can take care of you during that time, like leave as absence due to family reason... Then you can find a baby sitter when you go to interview...

Abortion is not a good choice if that's your first pregnancy.
