prolactin is a peptide hormone. it is not related only to milk production. Did you have difficulty getting pregnant or experiencing irregular period? It should be a lab work, did you get a blood test during your visit?

I don't see the reason why prolactin should be included in routine physical.... Only if your physician is suspecting endocrinal problems, or pituitary gland issues... Did you complain anything of that??
