those are the CME credit, that is for the continued medical education, after you licensed, AMA has requirement of those CME credits in a certain years. (for example, 5 years need 50 credits,)... Randomly they will audit a physician to see whether the doctor is still trying to learn in stead of sitting there drinking beers. Very easy to get those credits. A lot of the conferences counts for credits, usually in resort etc.
