Two of Hollywood's biggest stars, Brad Pitt (search) and Jennifer Aniston (search), have separated, according to People Magazine.

"We
would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided
to formally separate," Pitt and Aniston said in a joint statement
reported by People. "For those who follow these sorts of things, we
would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of
the speculation reported by the tabloid media. This decision is the
result of much thoughtful consideration."

Aniston,
who rose to stardom in long-running sitcom "Friends," first met Pitt,
the sexy leading man currently starring in "Ocean's Twelve," in 1998.
Two years later, they married in an elaborate ceremony in Malibu, Calif.

"We
happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and
admiration for one another," the couple said in the statement. "We ask
in advance for your kindness and sensitivity in the coming months."

I like Pitt more.
