如果新娘子有很多亲朋好友，特别是女性密友，可以搞bridal shower，一般是你得maid of honor throw bridal shower for you. sometimes can be your relatives in nowadays, but not in the old days. since it is a time to get gifts, so it is not appropriate to throw a bridal shower on your family's behalf in the old days. but things changed, so it does not matter too much now.
the meaning of bridal shower is to shower the bride with a lot of gifts.

the cost usually is on the bride, maid of honor plans everything, the bride may offer help, but usually your maid of honor will be happy to do everything without letting you know to keep it a nice surprise for you. so you just lay back and enjoy, and do not forget to pay the bills, at least you should offer. if your maid of honor insist on paying, do not forget to get her a nice gift later :)

you can easily get it in wedding specialty stores and craft stores, and if possible, guest books from China really looks good if you prefer traditional Chinese stuff.
or, you can DIY, buy a nice box from craft store or even TJ max, and open a envelop slot on the cover, and viola, it is done.the good thing about this is you can find the color you like much easier to match your theme.

座位表可以是一张大的poster，也可以是一张一张小的座位表
我还看到有用巧克力做成的座位表，或者用可爱的小note stand夹起来的，用完了 note stand 还可以作为favor让客人们拿走

新娘子可以和自己的妇科医生联系，一般的保险会涵盖一年一次的例行检查，检查一下身体附带咨询一下婚后BY信息，一般copay不会太多。
新郎可以找family doctor or general practice doctor 做一下例行的检查，一般保险是涵盖physical的。
