I bought all my clays at Michael's. Fimo and Premo are both good.  To get the color you want though, you might need to knead the colors to achieve the right effect.

For the wedding gift box, i made two layers, and put swarovski crystals in the roses.

For the doll boxes, I made a rose in the center to hold a ring, which could make a nice jewelry set box. :)
