Female infertility is mostly caused by ovulatory, tubal, or infective problems. Some possible causes are thyroid abnormalities, ovarian failure, PCOS, hyperprolactinemia, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and other structural damages to the uterine/tubes. Birth control does NOT contribute to any of the listed problems. Most women can get pregnant right after they stop hormonal contraceptives (within a month or so).
Oral contraceptives have many benefits and are safe and effective. Millions of women use them. They do have side effects but mostly tolerable. Notice that they reduce functional ovarian cysts by 90% and reduce the risk for benign fibrocystic breast disease. They also reduce risk of endometrial cancer and ovarian cancer. OCP are not associated with increased risk of breast cancer (closely examined by multiple studies). To LZ, it offers a good benefit of acne control.
Based on your description, you are probably right that you may have excessive androgen or you are extra sensitive to androgen. You may also have excessive estrogen. Make sure your MD knows this if you do decide to go on OCP and he/she will prescribe you an option with less androgen content.
It is completely up to you to decide if you want to start using OCP or not. But whatever your LG said is incorrect.

抓住。。
