gg前几周有幸使用了MGS4 online beta: it's like other online shooter games, you play in team and have the options of death match, capture the flag, capture the zones, and sneaking mode in metal gear style ways.  you can sneak behind someone to shoot or slash their throat; set up traps by putting down playboy magazines (my gg's favorite trick!);  one of the cool thing is the ability to adjust charaters that you can make them run faster or a better shooter.  in the beginning you are the newbie and have 4 slots of special ability to fill, the abilities include: lock on, speed, better handgun accuracy, and someother one that he doesn't remember but didn't end up using anyway.  as you use your ability you level up, but  higher ability skill it takes up more slots. for example, handgun ability level 2 would take up 2 of the 4 slots, so the idea is as the solider level up he will become more specialized.


the sneaking mode is only for MSG4: it is two teams against each other trying to kill each other like a regular death match game, but adding SNAKE in the factor. Snake has to sneak up behind both team and capture 3 dogtags without killing anyone by using either tranquilazer bullets or his martial art skills.  Snake has all the skills in the real game such as super sneaky ability, camoflouge ability, super cool killing moves with his hands or knife, and everyone wants to be SNAKE!!

If there are too many people in the game, then one can be the MSG Mark 2 - the little robot with the video screen in the very first trailer.  The little robot plays a supporting role, cloa and can roll around while clocked and shoot ppl.


I watched gg playing the sneaky mode and it looks super fun.  his clan in online beta mode was in the top 25 and therefore got invited to play with MGS4 developers! of course his team got slammed by the developers who spend more time playing the game.

最好的是online play完全是免费的 （不像x盒子）
