The only time during the last 17 years when unemployment was higher in Massachusetts than in the rest of the country was the 18 month period at the end of Governor Romney's term. In other words, it was only after Romney's policies had been in place for 2.5 years that Massachusetts began to lag the U.S.; once Romney's policies were replaced by Deval Patrick's, the state once again began to lead the country.

Please do some research first before you open your big mouth. The financial collapse in 2008 is not because of GWB, it stems from welfare policy in Clinton administration. He allow that annual income of 40k family to buy 600k house. Romney didn't get surplus, always debt:

Massachusetts lacks a strong system of regional governments that typically pay for their own capital investments. A 2009 state report noted that “many of the capital needs of the entire state are borne by the Commonwealth itself,” which is rather unique.
