自从强制超过80%的州内学生以后，靠前的两个州内录取率已经高于外州了，更远高于国际学生。外州和国际学生申请的人数远远少于州内的吧。

这么贵的学费，外州家长真的愿意孩子申UC吗？我感觉还不如上私立。
加州生够幸福的了。首先UC系统分校多，分校排名普遍不错。大部分别的州，旗舰州大也排不进前50呢。别的州居民一样给本州交税，可是州大太差，想上个稍微好点的大学就得捧着银子往外州跑。加州生再不济也还可以上CC，然后往好的州大转。比别的州的学生幸福多了。其次，加州生考外州名校也容易，S/H/M每年在加州招生都是基本是最多。比在犄角旮旯的小州考名校好考多了。真不知道加州家长还有啥可抱怨的，生在福中不知福！
作为外州的，我家孩子会申请的，但确实只有Berkeley 和ucla会考虑去。但如果有类似的私立offer,肯定去私立，因为花钱差不多，换专业容易，小班上课。所以外州拿到offer去的不多。

怎么不愿意啊。 外州娃，私立的不一定好进。UC 不是容易点吗，排名也不错。 中印家长就爱学校名气排名，贵不贵的不在考虑范围。

外州敢申请uc的都有两把刷子吧
对外州生来说，申伯克利和UCLA的难度应该跟申别的T20私校差不多。至于别的UC分校，只要成绩还可以没啥EC也能进。没啥不敢的，是不愿意。

如果工程方向，私立选择不多啊，也没uc 容易率，还一些大州立气候不好。
