Of course you wanna look for a job:
1. do you want a gap on your resume or some experience?
2. now that your hubby is doing postdoc for one year, what if anything happens that he has to do 6 months more? 1 year more?
3. obviously you two will be better off financially
4. my friend, a CPA, used to work for a small firm in quite rural area, got sponsored. but it's a few years. you can always negotiate with the employer
5. most employment contract has an "at will" clause, i.e., the firm can let you go anytime and you can leave anytime.
